Ileana Leiva
I am a 43-year-old woman from Quetzaltenango (Xela). I am married, cheerful, sociable, and an evangelical Christian. I recently graduated with a degree in Legal and Social Sciences as an attorney and notary from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
I have approximately 25 years of experience as a Spanish teacher, and I truly enjoy teaching. I have experience with specialized courses such as OPI, Praxis, and others. I enjoy theater, soccer, and photography. I like working with children, teenagers, and young people; I am currently a teacher for teenage/pre-youth groups at my church.
Carlos Fernando
Hello, my name is Carlos Fernando, and I am from Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. I have been teaching Spanish as a foreign language for more than 20 years. I hold a specialization diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language from Universidad Da Vinci de Guatemala, and I studied Law and Notary Public at Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
I am passionate about the Spanish language and culture. I have also taken courses on the Mayan calendar, cosmology, and philosophy. I truly enjoy helping my students express themselves clearly and confidently, so they can participate in conversations with fluency. I love meeting new people, exchanging ideas, and dancing salsa.

Hello, I’m Gwendolyn, a passionate teacher of the beautiful Spanish language, where every student is a story waiting to be told. I was born in the beautiful city of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, where I still live today with my two wonderful children.
I am a Spanish instructor and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, a dynamic and competitive field that I am also passionate about. For more than 20 years, I have worked with individual and group students, university students, foreign professionals, and volunteers who wish to learn Spanish as a second language. I also support those completing their final academic essays in Spanish, as well as students preparing for official certifications such as DELE or CIELE, guiding them through placement exams and exam preparation. And of course, I am happy to help any traveler who simply wishes to learn our language and culture.
